May Day or Bealtaine, as it is known in the Celtic calendar, brings the start of summer and with it a range of customs and traditions that were practiced across Ireland. Why Irish Linen?
I create my work on Irish Linen for a number of reasons; from the aesthetic qualities of the fabric to it's heritage and history in Northern Ireland.
A Long Hiatus

When I launched my website and online shop back in mid-May we were in the midst of lockdown. There were signs that things were potentially going to ease. The weather was warm, sunny and heading towards Summer. And I was full of wonderful intentions of blogging every week, giving great insights into my work and my creative process. In truth, I have just about kept on top of keeping my website well stocked, working on commissions and fulfilling wholesale orders. Oh and did I mention when I launched the website I had a 3 month old baby?! So yes, blogging...
