A Long Hiatus

When I launched my website and online shop back in mid-May we were in the midst of lockdown. There were signs that things were potentially going to ease. The weather was warm, sunny and heading towards Summer. And I was full of wonderful intentions of blogging every week, giving great insights into my work and my creative process. In truth, I have just about kept on top of keeping my website well stocked, working on commissions and fulfilling wholesale orders. Oh and did I mention when I launched the website I had a 3 month old baby?! So yes, blogging took a bit of a backseat. Now, I'm not going to commit myself to becoming a regular blogger. I know life is too hectic for that. Plus, I'm not a natural writer. Talking. Yes. I like to talk!

However, as we move into one of the busiest seasons for us artists and makers I do want to make sure I keep anyone that's passing by my website up to date because I know social media is not necessarily the go to for everyone. So this blog is going to give you a little run down of how to keep up to date with me and my work over the next few months, both online and in person!

Of course one of the best ways to stay up to date is via my Newsletter. I send one out approximately once a month and there's always a 'New Collection Discount Code' shared via the Newsletter for subscribers.

Markets

So as you'd imagine...markets are a little more limited in number this year. Those that are operating are generally outdoor, small scale or subject to fairly strict measures to ensure safety of all attending and trading.

I'm taking part in a small number of markets this year so if you want to catch me in person, have a chat and view some of my cards, giclee art prints and a originals (please note I only bring a small number of original artworks to markets) then you can find me at the following:

  • 24th Oct and 28th Nov: North Down Craft Collective Market at Kylestone Nursery, Groomsport, 10am - 4pm
  • 31st (tbc) and 17th December: Saintfield Saturday Market, Main Street, Saintfield, 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • Urban Market, CS Lewis Square, Belfast in December - Date TBC

Art Showcase

Art Showcase Poster

I am delighted to be able to invite you to an Art Showcase on November 14th at the beautiful Blossom & Twine Studio located just outside Newtownards. Those wishing to attend will need to book a 30 minute timeslot by contacting me. I will be limiting numbers to 3 people that can book on to any timeslot. I will be ensuring the event is compliant with current guidelines on health and safety so that you can attend, browse and even shop in a relaxed and seasonally festive environment.
