Created using a combination of printmaking and painting, this Stangford Lough scene presents a view across grey-blue waters to Salt Island- one of Stangford Lough's mystical islands. A typical Northern Irish sky of pale blue flecked with grey clouds and the promise of rain. In the foreground are reeds and grasses in ochres, black, burnt sienna and black. 

Inspired by the peace and tranquility of shoreline walks. Created on Irish linen in my rural studio in County Down Northern Ireland. 

Finished in a professionally made frame.
